A boutique’s heart: How a Colombian store welcomes stray dogs with kindness
Among the racks and mannequins showcasing the latest fashion trends in this boutique clothing store in Colombia, another kind of beauty can often be seen.

Recently, TikTok user @osogabi went shopping with her boyfriend’s mom when something caught her attention. Behind the store’s window, curled up and sound asleep, was a stray dog resting peacefully.
It was an especially hot day, so the store employees invited the little dog inside to shelter from the heat.
“I was so moved by the scene that I didn’t hesitate to record it,” @osogabi told The Dodo. “It felt really special to me.”
Once inside the store, @osogabi realized this wasn’t an isolated incident. This dog and others from the neighborhood have found compassionate friends among the shop’s staff.
“He comes in often, and the girls who work there feed him and other furry friends,” she explained. “With this hot weather, they look for cool places—and what better than a store with air conditioning?”
To protect the staff’s privacy, @osogabi asked that the store’s name not be revealed. However, The Dodo managed to speak with one of the employees, who confirmed that their kindness toward this dog and others comes straight from the heart, saying:
“I love and deeply respect animals.”
