Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley: Celebrating 36 years of love, commitment, and giving back
Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea Hurley marked a significant milestone in their relationship, celebrating their 36th wedding anniversary on April 29, 2025. Their story began in high school in New Jersey, and in 1989, amidst Bon Jovi's skyrocketing fame, the couple eloped to Las Vegas.
Their spontaneous decision to get married was a surprise even to their closest friends and family. In a move that seemed almost impulsive, Jon recalled how he suggested, "Let’s go to Vegas now," to which Dorothea agreed, and they ended up getting married at the famous Graceland Wedding Chapel, with their taxi driver serving as their witness.

Despite the challenges that come with the pressures of fame, Jon has been open about the struggles in their marriage. He admitted that he hasn't always been perfect but credited Dorothea's patience and understanding for their lasting bond.
Over the years, they've raised four children: Stephanie, Jesse, Jake, and Romeo. Their relationship has endured, and both have grown stronger as a result of their commitment to each other.
To celebrate their 36 years of marriage, Jon shared a heartfelt post on social media, featuring a bouquet of 36 roses and a throwback photo from their wedding day. His caption, "36 roses for 36 amazing years. Happy anniversary, my love," served as a public tribute to Dorothea and their enduring love.

Beyond their personal lives, the couple has also given back to the community. In 2006, they founded the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, an organization aimed at combating hunger, poverty, and homelessness.
They also opened the JBJ Soul Kitchens in New Jersey, community restaurants designed to serve both paying customers and those in need.

Their relationship and philanthropic efforts are a testament to the strength of love, understanding, and shared values, showing that even in the glamorous world of rock stardom, true connections can withstand the test of time.
