Paris Hilton’s closet sale raises funds for LA Wildfire relief and youth protection efforts
On Wednesday, Paris Hilton, the famous reality TV star from *The Simple Life* and long-time enthusiast of Juicy Couture tracksuits (which she popularized in the early 2000s, also known as the Y2K era), opened up her prized closet to raise funds for the Los Angeles wildfire relief effort.
In collaboration with the fashion resale platform Vestiaire Collective, Hilton made nearly 100 items available, which she referred to as “personal treasures” that held significant memories for her. These items featured a variety of luxury brands, including Mugler, Balenciaga, Versace, and Miu Miu.
While some of the pieces were a clear reflection of Hilton’s signature style — like the studded Louis Vuitton "Chrissie" cloth handbag and the purple velour Juicy Couture sweat-set — others, such as a floral Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress and a pair of brown Kim Jones x Hennessy sneakers, showcased her evolving fashion sense.

Hilton explained that she has always embraced taking fashion risks and having fun with her style. She hoped that her collection would inspire others to experiment with their own fashion choices and embrace originality.
Hilton’s closet sale is part of a growing trend of celebrity-driven charity sales, following in the footsteps of other stars like Kate Moss, Julianne Moore, Natasha Lyonne, and Parker Posey, who contributed to luxury consignment platform TheRealReal last October in support of the climate change organization, Conservation International.
Vestiaire Collective reported that all of Hilton’s listed items sold out in less than a day, with most of them being snapped up in under three hours.
The proceeds will be directed to wildfire relief organizations through Hilton’s nonprofit, 11:11 Media Impact, which she founded. Hilton, who was also affected by the recent fires, had her Malibu home destroyed in the blaze, where she had lived with her husband, Carter Reum, and their son, Phoenix.

The proceeds from the sale will support Hilton’s charity efforts focused on providing relief for the devastating LA fires and continuing her mission to protect vulnerable youth from child abuse while offering hope to those in need.
Hilton expressed that there was no better way to combine her love for fashion with charity than by holding a closet sale.
