Princess Catherine shares inspiring message and photo on world Cancer Day after overcoming cancer

Kensington Palace shared a heartwarming photo of the Princess of Wales on Monday to mark World Cancer Day. The image, posted on X (formerly Twitter), shows the Princess smiling with her arms outstretched atop a log in a forest, captured by her 6-year-old son, Prince Louis.

The caption accompanying the photo encourages others to “Don’t forget to nurture all that lies beyond the disease,” and is signed simply “C.”

Earlier this year, Catherine revealed she is now in remission from cancer. Reflecting on her journey, she shared on X in January, “As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal.

I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”

In 2024, Catherine, also known as Kate, stepped back from her royal duties to undergo cancer treatment. She completed her chemotherapy in September and shared that she was “doing what I can to stay cancer free.”

Earlier this week, she also visited the children's hospice, TA Hafan, in Sully, Wales, where she focused on the wellbeing of children and families while celebrating Welsh textile manufacturing.
