Restaurant Manager Kicks Out Elderly Woman Seeking Shelter, Sees Her Sitting with the Owner the Next Day.

One day, an elderly lady got soaked in a heavy rain after a sudden downpour. She decided to seek shelter in a famous café but ended up being kicked out by the restaurant manager. What happened next surprised the arrogant employee.

Linda Meyers was on her way to dinner when the heavy rain suddenly began to fall. She didn’t have an umbrella, so her well-groomed hair became all wet and messy. Her blouse and jacket also got drenched and looked worn out.

The closest establishment to where she was at the moment was a famous café frequented by rich and famous people. When she arrived at the entrance, she was immediately stopped by the doorman.

"Ma'am, this is an exclusive café. You need a reservation to enter," he began, looking her up and down. "You seem like you can barely afford to eat here," he murmured.

Offended by the rude comment, she asked the doorman to call the restaurant manager. But instead of letting her in, the manager echoed the doorman’s comment and asked her to leave.

"Ma'am, I’m currently hosting over a hundred people inside. We don’t have time for this. I’ll ask you to leave," said the manager, whose name tag read "Simon."

"I just need a place to stay until the rain stops. I would even place an order," she insisted.

"I can’t let you in looking like that. You’ll scare our customers," Simon shook his head. With that, the woman left, trying to find another place to wait.

The next day, when Simon arrived at work, the café owner was already there. He immediately called Simon over.

"Today is a very special day. We have an important guest coming, my friend and his wife. They are potential buyers of the café. So everything needs to be perfect," the owner said.

Simon gave instructions to the waitstaff about what to do that day, making sure everything was properly prepared for the arrival of the VIP clients. That evening, the owner called Simon to his table.

"Let me introduce our manager. He’s a great part of our team. He knows what he’s doing, and he’s very kind, sensitive, friendly, and helpful," said the owner. At that moment, the woman turned to him with a smile on her face.

"Very pleasant indeed. I can see he’s exactly as you described him," said the woman, who, to Simon’s surprise, was Linda.

The manager couldn’t hide the horrified expression on his face when he realized the woman was the same one he had kicked out the previous night. After seeing his reaction, Linda turned back to the owner.

"You have a wonderful restaurant and a lovely team. My husband and I are happy to buy the café," she said.

The next day, Linda and her husband went straight to work. They wanted to observe how the café operated on a daily basis and get to know its new staff better.

When Linda saw Simon, she gave him some bad news. "Simon, my husband and I have decided to demote you to waiter. We think the way you treated me last night is not the right way to treat a customer," she explained.

Immediately, Simon was given an apron and a tray, and started working as a waiter. He was humiliated but didn’t want to lose his job completely.

A few days later, a poor woman entered the café. She sat at a table and ordered a sandwich and hot tea. After finishing her meal, Simon handed her the bill.

"Oh, dear," said the elderly woman as she searched through her purse. "I must have forgotten my wallet at home. I’m so sorry. Can I wash the dishes or clean the restaurant, anything to pay for this?" she said.

Simon shook his head. "Don’t worry, ma’am. I’ll pay for your bill this time," he said with a smile.

The woman thanked Simon, to which he replied, "It’s nothing. People should help each other. A few days ago, the new owner of this restaurant gave me a second chance because she’s a good person. I want to be like her. After all, I believe in karma."

"I think you’ll go back to being a manager," said the woman. Simon was confused, not understanding how she knew about his demotion. At that moment, Linda approached the table.

"This woman here is my friend. I wanted to test you to see if you learned your lesson. I’m happy to know you passed the test. You can return to your position as manager immediately," said Linda, giving him a pat on the back.

Simon was overjoyed. He had never seen such kindness in anyone and was grateful that Linda had given him another chance to do a good job.

From that day on, Simon went to work with a smile on his face. He loved his job, and all of this was thanks to the boost of confidence the new owners of the café had given him. He now treated his staff and customers patiently, which made the café even more successful.
